For Lecture 5/Content Analysis
Due for tutorial 31 October 2008:
Go to soates666 on www.youtube.com and watch clips from the 2008 US election campaign (to be determined)
After watching the ads, make a list of 8-10 items to use in a content-analysis coding frame. These can be ‘subjects’ (i.e. economy, national security, etc) or ‘images’ (flags, etc.) or characteristic of the ad. This can vary a great deal – we will compare what people came up with in the tutorial.
